Know Your Therapist

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master's degree in clinical psychology. I have over two years of supervised training in counselling. My approach is eclectic, which means I draw from different therapy approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and person-centred work, and bring together what suits you, your concerns and the way you think and feel.

Alongside my online private practice, I also work as an ABA therapist for children with neurodevelopmental disorders at a child developmental centre, which involves a lot of floor-sitting, cheering for tiny victories, and some very serious negotiations about whose turn it is with the blocks 😬🤭 (I don’t always win).

My work also involves a lot of parent psychoeducation. The parents I meet always have one more question on their way out, because they're invested in getting it right. That's why, alongside individual therapy, I've made parent guidance consultations a dedicated part of my practice. These sessions make room for questions about the child, and just as much for the parent as a person, beyond the role of mum or dad.

Kindness and integrity are at the heart of my work. I care about kindness because so many people start a session by apologising for crying, for taking up time, for not making "enough" progress, and I want my sessions to be a place where that harshness can finally rest. I care about integrity because you're trusting me with things you may never have said out loud, and that trust deserves a therapist who stays true to her ethics and values in every decision, from what I keep confidential to what I honestly recommend, so that your wellbeing is never compromised along the way 😌.

My Hot Take (aka Therapy Philosophy)

<aside> 💡

You know your life best. No psychologist holds the power to tell you how to live your life.

Scroll through any mental health page and you'll be told to set boundaries, cut off toxic people, say no without guilt and protect your peace. It sounds simple in a thirty-second reel. Then real life shows up. The person crossing your boundaries is your mother-in-law who lives down the hall, the manager who decides your appraisal, or the parent who sacrificed everything to raise you. For many people, walking away isn't an option, and you shouldn't be made to feel like a failure because a caption made it look easy.

And for some of you, a relationship, a workplace or a situation in your life is genuinely wearing you down. Your pain is real, and you deserve support that takes it seriously, even when it means firmer limits or choices others may not understand.

I sit with both of these realities every day in my sessions. So yes, I absolutely teach boundaries, assertiveness and the skills to protect your energy. But we build them around your actual life: what's possible right now, which relationships you want to keep, where you have room to push back, and what a realistic first step looks like for you. Sometimes that's a small shift in how you respond. Sometimes it's a firm, clear "no." Sometimes it's deciding how much space you need to feel okay again.

Nobody gets to tell you how to live your life — not your relatives, not the internet, and not me, because you're the one who knows its realities: the pressures you carry, the people you love, and the cost of every choice you make. My job is to help you find the changes that work inside that life, and make them stick.

What It's Like To Work With Me

  1. Kindness, always. You'll be met with warmth and patience, especially on the days you're struggling most.
  2. Curious, never judgemental. Nothing you share will be met with shock or blame. I'm here to understand.
  3. Integrity at the core. I'll be transparent about how I work, recommend only what I believe will help, and tell you if another therapist would be a better fit.
