Privacy Policy — Threads Comments Collector (Chrome extension)
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Summary
Threads Comments Collector processes everything locally in your browser. It does not send any data to the developer or to any third party.
What the extension accesses
- Threads pages you open (threads.com / threads.net): when you start a collection, the extension reads the comments and replies that the page shows you — usernames, display names, comment text, dates, like and reply counts, and links — including the data Threads itself loads while the page scrolls.
- Presence of your Threads session cookie: only to show whether you are logged in to Threads. The cookie's value is never stored, logged, exported or transmitted.
Where data is stored
Collected comments, collection history and settings are stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) for this extension. They never leave your device unless you export a file yourself.
What the extension does not do
- It does not ask for, read or store your Threads password.
- It does not send data to any server; it has no analytics, tracking or advertising.
- It does not sell or share data with anyone.
- It does not access websites other than threads.com and threads.net.
Your control
- You decide which posts to collect and when to export.
- You can delete any collection in the extension (History → open → delete).
- Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data from your browser.
