Inspiration

The traditional ticketing industry is plagued by issues like scalping, counterfeiting, and a lack of transparency, leading to significant frustration for both event organizers and attendees. We were inspired to leverage the power of Web3 to create a more secure, efficient, and user-friendly ticketing ecosystem. Our goal was to eliminate fraud, empower true ownership for ticket holders, and provide new revenue streams for creators, ultimately transforming the event experience.

What it does

This is a decentralized ticket tokenization platform that empowers event organizers to issue tickets as NFTs. This allows users to easily purchase tickets using various cryptocurrencies (USDC, USDT, etc.) and provides a transparent and secure secondary market for resales. By tokenizing tickets, we prevent fraud, ensure legitimate transfers, and offer enhanced control and insights for event creators.

Stack & Architecture

This project was built as a full-stack Web3 dApp. We used Solidity for the core NFT smart contracts, which handled ticket issuance, purchase, and resale logic. Data Feeds and Chainlink Functions were integrated to verify that the ticket price matched the received payment and to securely bridge off-chain ticket usage status to the on-chain smart contract for resale checks.

OpenZeppelin Defender Actions (webhooks) were used to generate and send signatures to buyers, preventing malicious bots from minting ticket NFTs.

For the frontend and API routes, we used Next.js with TypeScript. Prisma managed our off-chain database to track ticket validation status.

The overall architecture consists of:
