About the Role

We are building the next-generation Global Satellite Constellation for highly precise and secure Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. We are looking for an engineer who can work hands-on with precision oscillators and miniature atomic clocks to design and implement stable, reliable clock subsystems for space payloads. This role will involve analyzing OCXOs/Atomic Clock performance, developing control circuits, and experimentally validating system stability to meet stringent satellite timing requirements. Please note that you will not be developing atomic clocks, instead you will be developing a system based on off-the-shelf atomic clocks.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze the performance of OCXOs and miniature atomic clocks through simulations, experimental testing and data analysis.
• Develop control circuitry and signal conditioning systems to produce stable and clean frequency/time outputs for satellite payloads.
• Study and evaluate different OCXO and clock technologies to determine the most suitable options based on satellite constraints such as power, thermal environment, radiation tolerance, and stability requirements.
• Design and conduct laboratory experiments to characterize phase noise, frequency stability, and drift behavior under varying conditions.
