Effective date: 4 October 2026
Trinket is an app for keeping track of your jigsaw puzzles and sharing them in a community catalog. It is made by Kornel Varga, an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how you can see, export or delete it.

Your onboarding answers and preferences are stored only on your device. We don't receive them, and the app doesn't contact our servers. Adding puzzles to your shelf needs an account.
| Data | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Apple shares it when you sign in with Apple. With Apple's "Hide My Email" option we only get a private relay address. | To sign you in and to reply when you contact support. We don't send marketing email. |
| Account ID | Created when you sign up. A random identifier, not your name. | To link your data to your account. |
| Sign in with Apple token | Apple, when you sign in. | Used only to tell Apple to disconnect Trinket when you delete your account. |
| Your shelf | You. Which puzzles you own, want, are working on or have finished, plus your ratings, notes, completion times and dates. | To sync your collection across your devices and show your stats. |
| Puzzle sessions | You, using the session timer. Start and stop times and durations. | To track time spent on each puzzle. |
| Favorite themes | You, during onboarding or in your profile. | To suggest puzzles in Discover. |
| Photos you share | You, taking a photo of a puzzle box with the camera. | To show the puzzle in the community catalog. |
| Puzzle details you add | You. Title, brand, piece count, tags and barcode. | To build the community catalog. |
| Terms acceptance | You, agreeing to the Community Terms before you first use the community catalog. | To record when you agreed. |
| Reports and blocks | You, reporting content or blocking a contributor. | To review reported content and hide blocked contributors' puzzles and photos from you. |
We never collect your name, phone number, contacts, location, health data, payment details or advertising identifier. The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
The app uses the camera when you add a puzzle, to scan a box barcode or photograph the box, and when you take a photo of a puzzle you've finished. It doesn't use the camera at any other time.
Box photos are the ones you share with the catalog. Tag suggestions are made on your device from the photo, using Apple's built-in features, and only the tags you keep are sent to us when you save the puzzle. Before upload, the photo is resized and re-encoded on your device, which removes metadata such as location.
Photos of finished puzzles are never uploaded and never shared with other users. You can take one with the camera or choose one from your photo library. A photo you take is also saved to your photo library, which is why the app asks to add photos. One you choose is opened through Apple's photo picker, which gives the app only that photo. The app keeps a copy only on your device. It's removed when you delete your account, sign out without keeping a copy on your device, or remove the photo yourself. Copies in your photo library are yours, and the app never deletes them.
The app can't read the rest of your photo library.
