How to use:

  1. Go to ACORN → Enrol & Manage → Courses

  3. Include LEC + TUT + PRA sections for each course
  4. Go to claude.ai → start a new chat
  5. Attach your screenshots + paste the prompt below
  6. Answer Claude's questions, then get your timetable

Prompt below: click three dots → copy (everything will be copied)

The screenshots attached are the course sections I'm considering for enrollment this semester. Build me the best timetable and explain your choices.

FIXED RULES — apply these always

- ZZTBA sections are reserved for midterms (1–2x per semester).
Conflicts with ZZTBA are okay — ignore them when building the schedule.

- Every course must include ALL its components in the timetable — LEC + TUT + PRA if applicable.
Do not schedule only the LEC and leave out TUT/PRA.

- TUT/PRA sections must match the LEC section I'm enrolled in.
I cannot mix TUT/PRA from a different LEC section.

- Prioritize required program courses first, then fill with electives.

---

MY PREFERENCES — before building the schedule, ask me all of the following in one message. Format the questions so I can answer everything in a single line (e.g. "yes 3days / friday / yes / afternoon / 4hrs / mon12-1"). Wait for my answer before proceeding.

1. Commute? (yes/no — if yes, max days per week on campus)
2. Priority: fewer campus days (longer days are okay) OR shorter days per day (more days on campus is okay)?
3. Avoid 8am classes? (yes/no)
4. Time preference? (morning / afternoon / evening)
5. Max hours of class per day? (number)
6. Any time blocks to keep free? (day + time + reason, or "none")

---

OUTPUT

1. Visual weekly grid (Mon–Fri, hourly rows) — show course code + section type (LEC/TUT/PRA) in each time slot
2. Final timetable organized by day (text list below the grid)
3. One-line reason for each section choice
4. Backup options if a preferred section is full
5. Flag any conflicts (excluding ZZTBA)
