Purpose

The Universal Translator is the Linguistics Bureau front door that joins the existing Polyglot Desk / Mathematical City Engine v1.0 to the Invariant Grammar sentence. It preserves exact numerical translation as a deterministic certified path while adding a typed natural-language compiler in front of the same civic evidence discipline.

$$ L_{natural}\xrightarrow{\mathcal E_{IG}}\Sigma_L\rightarrow K_L\rightarrow Q_L=K_L^\dagger K_L\rightarrow P_{\ker K_L}\rightarrow\Gamma_L^n\rightarrow\Lambda_L\rightarrow\Omega_L\rightarrow I_L $$

The civilizational translation invariant remains:

$$ D_cT_{b\to c}E_b(X)=X. $$

Shared spectral execution · v0.3.1

The translator now runs on the same spectral-kernel operator grammar used across SPECTRA/Kartekeya and the Murmuration Hodge bridge:

$$ K_L\rightarrow Q_L=K_L^\dagger K_L\rightarrow P_{\ker K_L}\rightarrow\Gamma_L=I-\epsilon_*Q_L\rightarrow\Gamma_L^n\to P_{\ker K_L}. $$

Here $K_L$ is a language-specific typed semantic incidence / constraint operator derived from the current input. The animation therefore changes when the input changes: semantic dimension, constraint count, kernel dimension, positive spectrum, $\epsilon_$, $\rho_$, and contraction trajectory are computed rather than decorative.

Full parity gate · R2 PASS (E1). The generic bus reproduces the first-principles SPECTRA specialization with projector operator-norm difference 1.1612390860468816e-14 and Γ difference 6.698659995426096e-16. On the language specialization, Python and browser construct identical K_L, and the full 43-frame contraction trajectory agrees to maximum absolute difference 2.1094237467877974e-15. Boundary: this reuses the operator grammar, not E47's 125-state carrier, eigenvalues, or 47/125. Kernel rank or convergence in language is not promoted as empirical truth or a universal linguistic constant.

1 · ENTER LANGUAGE → 2 · PROJECT TO INVARIANT → 3 · RENDER IN ANOTHER DIALECT

The public surface shows the sentence and its rendered meaning first. The typed packet stays underneath unless the visitor deliberately opens Inspect invariant packet.

ENTER LANGUAGE

Paste ordinary language, a research claim, historical statement, translation target, or argument.

Source: auto or declared language

Action: PROJECT TO INVARIANT

RENDERED MEANING

The front stage returns the preserved meaning in the requested dialect plus the packet seal.

Audit internals: hidden by default.

Universal Translator

Ordinary users see Enter language → Project to invariant → Render in another dialect. Advanced parser controls and Σ · K · Ψ · Γ · Λ · Ω · I are collapsed unless explicitly inspected.

Numerical Civilizations

The exact branch delegates to the existing City Engine dialects: Babylonian, Maya, duodecimal, decimal, and Python exact values. The governing machine gate is T_j_to_i(T_i_to_j(x)) = x with SHA-256 translation certificates and Proof Engine obligations.

Boundary

A natural-language packet hash certifies the exact representation bytes, not the empirical truth or uniqueness of an interpretation. Contradictions, negations, uncertainty, provenance, and failed gates remain preserved even when hidden from the default display. The app's Ω is schema occupancy only and is deliberately not identified with the E47 ratio 47/125.
