Research status: updated 2 August 2026. Target intake: 2028. Every item marked Needs Verification must be rechecked against the 2028 admission and scholarship guides.

Strategy

The primary objective is an overseas bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology with fully funded—or the closest practical—financial support. Indonesian universities are not treated as the main route.

Selection is based on four factors together:

admission fit for an Indonesian SMK Software Engineering graduate;
scholarship ceiling and remaining family contribution;
academic and industry strength in computing/security;
graduate work pathway.

Important: “Safe” below refers only to relative admission competitiveness. It does not mean the scholarship is financially safe.

How to read the shortlist

Priority Targets: strongest combination of educational quality and substantial funding.
Good Targets: academically worthwhile and reasonably realistic, but with either a funding gap or unresolved SMK-equivalency issue.
Safe Targets: lower relative admission risk while remaining credible in computing; funding is not automatically safe.
Existing Research: UNSW remains fully preserved and actively considered.
Backup: DLI Bandung is used only if overseas options fail.
