The journey map traces the weekly FX repatriation cycle as experienced by The Operational Optimizer — from balance review through compliance documentation. It documents what the analyst does at each phase, what he's thinking, how he feels, where the workflow currently breaks down, which tools he's using, and where OmniRisk intervenes.
The journey map is the architectural source for the design decisions in the Design phase. The five intervention points became the feature set; the feature set became the prototype.
🖼️ Visual: The User Journey Map visual is embedded below — five-phase swimlane with full detail rows for actions, thoughts, feelings, pain points, touchpoints, and OmniRisk intervention.
The journey map describes the user's workflow as the analyst lives it — five phases reflecting his weekly rhythm. The design's phase stepper in the prototype uses three phases (Data Aggregation → AI Recommendations → Trade Execution), reflecting how the design intervenes structurally. These two views are at different abstraction levels and intentionally so:
The first describes what the analyst does; the second describes what the design does for him.
