Vaqt is a prayer, Quran, dhikr, qaza, zakat, Qibla, widget, and focus-lock app. This policy explains what the app stores and how it uses data.

Data stored by the app

Vaqt can store the following data on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private iCloud storage:

• prayer logs and qaza entries
• dhikr counts
• Quran reading progress
• language, city, country, calculation method, manual offsets, and notification preferences
• widget snapshot data needed to show the next prayer

The following stays on your device only and is not synced to iCloud:

• Focus Lock and Prayer Lock settings, the apps you choose to lock, and which prayers you marked as prayed to open a lock
• excused days: the dates you turn on for menstruation (hayd) or postnatal bleeding (nifas), so reminders pause and your streak is kept
• Fajr and tahajjud alarm settings
• zakat calculator entries, your zakat date, and the payments you record

Vaqt does not sell this data, does not use it for advertising, and does not include third-party analytics SDKs.

Location

If you grant location permission, Vaqt uses your location on the device to calculate the Qibla direction and to find your city. Your precise GPS position is not sent anywhere.

While the Qibla screen is open, Vaqt reads the compass and the iPhone's motion sensors on the device to point the dial and to warn about magnets nearby. These readings are not stored or sent.

Inside Uzbekistan, prayer times are calculated on your iPhone. Elsewhere, Vaqt sends the approximate coordinates of your city and its time zone to AlAdhan to get the prayer-time schedule.
