Volume Booster (“the extension”) is provided by Volume Booster Extension. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains, in plain language, what the extension does and does not do with your data.

The short version

The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data or audio. All audio processing happens locally, inside your own browser.

What the extension accesses

To boost and adjust the sound of a tab, the extension needs to:

• Read the audio of the tab you choose (via Chrome’s tabCapture), only after you open the extension on that tab. The audio is passed through a local amplifier and equalizer and played straight back to you. It is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
• See a list of tabs that are playing audio (via the tabs permission), so you can switch to the one you want to boost. Tab titles are shown only inside the extension window and are never stored or transmitted.
• Store your theme preference (light or dark) locally using Chrome’s storage API. This stays on your device.

What we do NOT do

• We do not collect personal information.
• We do not record, keep, or upload your audio.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, cookies, or advertising.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for creditworthiness or lending decisions.

Data storage

The only thing the extension saves is your light/dark theme setting, stored locally on your device via the browser. You can remove it at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension’s storage.

Children’s privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
