The Project

Join us in protecting and regenerating Juthour—an arboretum, living tree museum, and nature sanctuary just outside Ramallah. This approximately 2‑hectare (21‑dunam) mountain has been tended for over 13 years, with 100+ century‑old olive trees, indigenous Mediterranean flora, layered stone terraces, and a multi‑pond ecological water system fed by captured rainwater.

What We're Building

• Living tree museum of woody plants from Palestine, the Mediterranean region, and carefully selected companion species
• Ecological education centre (Mashjar Juthour) for schools, universities, and community groups
• Nature preserve and wildlife refuge for indigenous and migratory birds, insects, and other native species
• Quiet retreat space for reflection, study, and nature connection
• Regenerative demonstration site using traditional methods, rainwater harvesting, composting, and green‑building principles

Current Stage

Juthour is in advanced discussions with Ramallah Municipality on a multi‑year partnership focused on three pillars: protecting nature, developing environmental education and culture, and establishing an ecological education centre as a public learning space. The proposal anticipates municipal investment for public‑facing educational infrastructure, not private profit.
