Wavenote ("the App") is a voice recording, transcription, and note-generation app developed by Eduard Sergiu Stefan. This policy explains what information Wavenote processes, why it is processed, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

Summary

Information Processed by the App

Audio recordings

When you record or import audio, the file is stored locally on your device.

Transcripts, summaries, titles, action items, and speaker labels

Generated note content is stored locally on your device.

App preferences

Settings such as language, speaker names, playback state, onboarding completion, and AI-data-sharing consent are stored locally.

Subscription entitlement

Apple processes purchases and payment information. Wavenote receives a cryptographically signed App Store transaction containing subscription information such as product identifier, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, revocation status, offer type, and App Store environment. Wavenote does not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

AI usage information

To enforce the allowance included with your subscription, Wavenote processes the verified plan, billing-period dates, audio duration charged, remaining allowance, and idempotency records used to prevent duplicate charges. These records are associated with Apple's original transaction identifier, not with a Wavenote account.
