Introduction

Wayfare ("we", "us", "the app") is a screen-time management app that lets you earn screen time by completing real-world quests. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect:

Your name
Your email address
A profile photo you choose

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider. If you use Apple's Hide My Email feature, we receive only the private relay address Apple generates, never your real email.

Quest verification photos

When you complete a photo-based quest, the app captures a photo using your device camera.

Photos are taken in-app only. Wayfare cannot access your photo library.
On the Pro plan, photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for automated verification that the photo shows what the quest asked for. Anthropic processes the image, returns a pass or fail result, and does not use it to train models. We do not retain the photo after verification.
On the free plan, no photo is transmitted anywhere. Verification runs on an honour system and the photo never leaves your device.
