The Shift In May 2026, Google announced that AI agents will now do the shopping for your customers.

Your customer asks their AI a question. The AI compares options, reads reviews, picks one, and (soon) checks out. Your customer never sees the ad. Never clicks the link. Never reads your homepage.
The AI decided which brand to bring them.
That's the shift. It has a name. Agentic commerce.
If you sell a service, this applies to you too. The same AI that's picking products is picking who to call for marketing help, who to book for the dog groomer, who to hire to redo the bathroom.
