
This week ICM’s assignment is “Create a pattern by making something with a lot of repetition.” And for visual language’s assignment, we need to use four color to make patterns and professor suggests us with using p5 to create one. In this case, I plan to combine and link these two assigments.
Here are four color I chose.

And in this week’s worksheet, challenge 4 inspires me. I really like the checkerboard grid pattern and try to use these colors.

This is challenge 4.
I mainly divided the board into 2 parts: black and white. And I use “else” to make it comes true. The only thing I need is adding the patterns I want under “black part” and “white part”.

So the question I want to ask this week is:
Since my checkerboard only alternates between two states, could I use ! to switch between true and false instead of using % 2 to check whether each cell is even or odd? Is this approach better in this case?
