Write no more than 5 sentences about how computation applies to your interests I have always loved Khalil Fong’s music, so I chose to pay tribute to the visual style of his final album cover in this HW. The cover’s simplified portrait, bold colors, and geometric shapes inspired the composition of my p5.js drawing. Computation allows me to study that visual language by breaking the image into coordinates and basic shapes such as ellipses, rectangles, curves, and triangles. Rebuilding the portrait through code helped me understand how layering and drawing order create a complete image.

In the same post, point to one thing in your code that you'd like us to talk about in class. In my sketch, I currently build larger forms by layering individual shapes, such as the overlapping ellipse() calls that form the hair on lines 38–44. Is there a way in p5.js to combine shapes or subtract one shape from another, like Photoshop’s shape operations—A + B or A − B—so that I can control the outline more directly? This would allow me to recreate the red heart-shaped shadows on face and hand of Khalil’s album cover more accurately.
