I can’t comment too much on the Drogs game, was at a party drinking woeful pints and I would have just went mad had I kept watching and thankfully it was the better option.

I have to say, I genuinely felt that the players gave as much as they could. Part of me thinks starting the young lads and Hughes was to shake up the squad and say, right lads, ye are the ones who deserve to play, but in reality I honestly feel it was a test to see how they would fear against a really physical side, to prepare somewhat for the First Division.
On that, I felt Hughes distribution was very good and precise and he seemed comfortable and strong in the air. However, he was most definitely the majority of the fault to blame for goals 2 and 3, I won’t even chat about the first pen. The lad hasnt had a look in all season, so perhaps it was only fitting he would not be as switched on as he could have been? I’d say so. Despite all this, if he remains, I feel we can box away the keeper side of things, I liked him.
As for the young lads, well done, in particular Gabbidon, felt he was very good but definitely grew into the game a lot more and that was evident in the second half. Young, McHugh and McManus in particular were very good and it has to be said, I think that was Meekisons highlight game for us, drifted off in the second half but he was exceptional in the first. I genuinely felt they gave what they could but lads, we haven’t the answers when it comes to putting it in the back of the net. Each week theres a lot of hit and hope up top but sure it hasnt worked nor will it ever.

The Justin Belieber in me is holding on for a miracle and sure fuck it, what harm. I restarted playing Red Dead Redemption 2 a few weeks ago and I have been tipping away at it most evenings at a very leisurely pace, for those of you not savvy, it’s Grand Theft Auto just based in the 1800s. So why are you speaking about video games m’Lord? Wished for a minute and let me explain. I had this encounter in the swamp at night, last night, where a woman was crying next to a tree, all alone. Being the generous man I am I approached her with my character to which she drew up with a knife and tried to slash me. With that, she took off running away through the swamp with her wee dressing robe on her whilst 4 of her accomplices rushed me with knives, in complete silence. I was in utter shock. I actually got up off the chair and sat forward and locked the fuck in. Me heart was pounding, the knives were swinging and my health was dwindling. I managed to counter one of the attacks, create space and put them all down with my lovely revolvers. Where could you possibly be going with this? What I am trying to say is, that was Rovers all season. Excuse me? Look > We were too nice, not quick enough to attack when the opportunity arose and just not clinical. That was a fairly roundabout way of explainging how I feel but maybe it was the universe telling me in an exceptionally funny way through a video game that despite our efforts this season, it simply wasnt enough and unlike these “Night Folk” I encountered, we havent escaped this attack. We are 11 points behind Drogs now and it is almost certainly 0235hrs in the Garavogue and Gino is blue in the face saying, “Right folks make your way to the door please”.

Keep swinging. We are on the floor, black and blue, the fat lady is clearing her throat and the counts almost at 10. Meet every single game now with the upmost aggression and ensure we do not go out like an old dying dog who never had to work for a meal in its life. Thats it. Thats all we can ask for. That since we are sinking, we bring a few ships down with us. Play a few academy lads again, why not, they seem well able for it, at least it will be some sort of positive end to the seaosn to see them get minutes in our top flight and to know they are capable.
