The first few steps

After starting a new game, the first thing you should do is to read your civilizations uniques, these give great bonuses that you need to know. Start by researching Pottery The best building order in your capital at the start of the game is :

• Build other things until you hit 3 population (such as worker or shrine)

• Settler (if you don’t have enough happiness right now, maybe wait a bit before your third settler)

Workers

Workers are extremely important, if you don't know what to build, build workers. You need to improve all your tiles as quick as possible. This is the tile improvement order:

• Unique Luxuries
• Duplicate Luxuries
• Fresh water farms
• Strategic ressources
• Others (food then production)

Try to have 2 workers per city, 1.5 for coastal cities
