Meeting: Wednesday, June 24, 2026 · 12:00–1:00 PM ET
Facilitator: Saleem Abdulrasool
Audience: BCNY, Apple engineers, external community (open to all)
Forum: Swift Forums — Windows
1. Welcome & Agenda (~2 min)
Quick intro and overview of today's structure. Reminder: this meeting is designed as office hours. Community members — bring issues, questions, anything you're running into.
2. Open Forum: Community Issues (~15 min)
What are you working on with Swift on Windows? What's blocking you? Open floor.
- Community check-in: how are the toolchain snapshots working for people? Anyone building against recent snapshots — what's working, what's broken?
3. Follow-Up: Action Items from June 10
- Charles: CI swap fix — pagefile-prepend command + CMake/Ninja parallelism tuning (meeting w/ Michelle was Friday). Status?
- Charles: symstore.exe image-layout changes — remove forced debug-info flag, confirm CI passes, merge. Status?
- Saleem: Send Alistair the GitHub link to the parallel-toolchain SPM static-linking issue (for escalation to Doug). Done
- Saleem: Send Alistair an overview of SxS post-build manifest-injection requirements (frame precisely before approaching Doug). Status?
- Alistair: Pass the DS2 repo-donation (two-step, history-preserving) approach to LLVM contacts; schedule with Fred, Ben, Ted. Status?
- Saleem: Raise swift-crash-analyzer repo for core-team approval (missed last two — travel, then no quorum). Done
- Saleem: Post on forums with installer-improvements detail + toolchain-registration approach. TODO
- Carry-over (May 27): Migrate overlay from
swift-platform-core into WinSDK, mark constants transparent, clean up Foundation — was blocked on bootstrapping. In Progress
4. Status Updates (~8 min)
Brief updates on active work streams. Read ahead — we'll keep these quick.
