Project Presentation

"Within The Signal," or "Dans le flux" in French, invites a contemplative experience where the viewer becomes an active participant in a living, ever-changing visual universe. The visitor is positioned in front of a smartphone that captures their silhouette; their image is reinterpreted in real time, integrated into a wall projection of moving digital abstractions that represent an intangible virtual world.

This work explores the relationship between body and machine. The phone, a familiar object, acts as a gateway to another world, between the tangible and the digital. It is a pause that invites contemplation and dialogue with the machine.

Exhibition during Heure Fatale

On July 18 and 19, 2025, the installation was exhibited for the first time to the public, near Paris, during the third episode of Heure Fatale, themed “Anatomy of Change.”

Heure Fatale is a monthly event organized by the Norns collective, providing a venue and date to showcase emerging and established artists.

This third edition of the event took place over two days. First, an exhibition allowed visitors to discover the artworks and engage with the artists. The following day, a longer evening featured performances and music that continued until the early hours. This fostered various types of interaction with the public (taking photos, dancing, playing with their silhouettes, etc.). The installation was also adapted to the constraints and the venue in terms of layout to offer the best possible experience.
