Frequently asked questions
Is my writing private? Yes. Everything stays on your iPhone. Nothing you write is ever sent to us or to anyone else — the app works completely offline.
How do I keep or back up my story? Because your writing lives only on this device, we recommend exporting it: on the review screen, tap Export PDF or Copy everything, then save it (email it to yourself, AirDrop it, or paste it into Notes). That keeps a copy even if the app is later removed.
I reinstalled the app and my writing is gone. Your stories are stored only on the device, so deleting or reinstalling the app removes them. This is what keeps the app private — but it also means you should export anything you want to keep (see above).
Do I need an account or the internet? No. There is no sign-in, and the app runs fully offline.
How do I change the language? Tap the language name at the top of the screen (繁體中文 / 廣東話 / English).
A note on wellbeing Your Story invites you to reflect on your life — including memories, regrets, and what matters most. For most people this is gentle and meaningful, and you can skip any question that feels too heavy. But Your Story is a personal reflection tool — not therapy, counselling, or a crisis service.
