Status	Description
AVAILABE	The eSIM has been loaded on the network and it is ready for activation. This is the initial state.
INSTALLED	The eSIM profile has been downloaded to the device. Mobile services will work such as voice, SMS, MMS, data as applicable to the customer’s plan.
An eSIM profile will transition from the Downloaded state to the Installed state after the end user has completed downloading the eSIM profile on to their device. Transition to this state is dependent on having continuous data connectivity for the end user device.
RELEASED	An eSIM profile will be moved from the Available state to this Released state when you:

• Perform a SIM swap
• Reset an eSIM profile | | DOWNLOADED | The end user can download the eSIM profile to their mobile device. If the eSIM errors during the downloaded state the eSIM will move to the Error state. An eSIM profile will transition from the Released state to the Downloaded state when you apply instructions via the Mobile device to make the eSIM profile available for download. Transition to this state is dependent on having continuous data connectivity for the end user device. | | UNAVAILABLE | In this state, eSIM is not available for use in new activation or change SIM. Also eSIM in this state cannot be reactivated for reuse. A new eSIM is required. When the eSIM Profile enters the Unavailable state it is rendered unusable. The Unavailable state is a terminal state and the eSIM Profile can no longer be reused. | | LINKED | This is transitional state from Available to Released state, this state should not normally occur. | | ERROR | An error has occurred during the transition from one state to another. The eSIM Profile will enter the Error state when a fault event occurs. Fault events that may trigger this include (but is not limited to):
• End user device did not install the eSIM Profile correctly.
• Communication link between the end user device is interrupted.
• Rogue device behaviour detected (this includes but is not limited to automated repeated attempts to download the eSIM Profile will trigger a transition to the Error state |
