The short version EatPeak runs entirely on your device. Everything you enter stays on your device. There are no accounts and no servers, and the developer collects nothing about you — there is nothing about you for us to collect, store, or see. What EatPeak stores, and where Everything you log is saved only on your device, in this app's local storage: • Food logs and meals • Meal photos you choose to attach • Weight entries • Calorie and macro goals, and profile settings • Hydration, sleep, air-quality (smoking), and workout entries This information is never transmitted off your device, never backed up to a cloud by us, and never sent to the developer or any third party. It stays on your device until you delete it. What EatPeak does NOT do To be specific, EatPeak does not: • Require or create any account — no email, username, or password • Collect your name, IP address, or location • Use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash/diagnostic reporting • Use tracking cookies or device identifiers • Share or sell any data — there is nothing to share, because we never receive it • Connect to Apple Health / HealthKit or Google Health Connect • Read your contacts, calendar, or other files Photos If you attach a photo to a meal, EatPeak downscales it and stores it on your device alongside that meal entry. Photos are never uploaded. The one feature that uses the internet: optional food lookup EatPeak ships with a built-in offline food database, so by default every food search happens on your device with no internet connection. There is a single optional setting — "Online lookups" in Settings — that is turned OFF by default. If you switch it on and you log a food that isn't in the built-in database, EatPeak looks that food up online. The only thing that leaves your device when this happens is the food name you typed (for example, "chicken tikka"): • It is sent to Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org), a free open nutrition database; and • only if you have entered your own USDA FoodData Central API key in Settings, the food name and that key are sent to USDA FoodData Central (api.nal.usda.gov), run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. These requests contain no account, no identifier, and none of your logs, weight, goals, photos, or personal information — only the food name (and, for USDA, the key you chose to add). Leaving the toggle off keeps all food search fully offline. Open Food Facts and the USDA each handle the requests they receive under their own privacy policies. Deleting and exporting your data Because your data lives only on your device, you are fully in control: • Delete any entry directly in the app. • Use the in-app Export to save a backup before switching devices. • Deleting the app (or clearing its data) permanently and completely erases everything — there is no server copy to recover. Children EatPeak collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
