I'm looking for help turning the script, research and insights that are currently locked into my longform videos into shortform (Instagram and YouTube shorts).

The research that informed the longform video has produced a short, but the short is written and recorded custom and might include custom animations as well.

This is the quality level I'm aiming for. Looking to produce 8-12 shortform videos each month.

Responsibilities

1. Identify Shortform opportunities

You'll scout my catalog of videos and have access to full scripts and resarch for each video. You are to identify stories that turn into viral shortform videos.

Sometimes these emerge by slightly changing the script of the longform, sometimes it's about writing something custom.

2. Write scripts and Visualize

You are going to write the final script for the video and visualize / storyboard any animation that's needed (whether it's adapting an existing longform visual OR building something custom)

I will record all the scripts ad-hoc (no a-roll cut from the longform video, everything custom)

Depending on your experience (and with different pay of course) you'll either:

3. Oversee production

I already work with an editing agency: you are going to be fully owning revisions with them, providing assets and supporting them in the production.

You are ultimately responsible for the quality bar of the end result

3. Edit Yourself

If you have the required editing experience to meet the quality bar you are going to edit he video in full.

This includes creating custom motion graphics or adapting animations that have already been created for longform videos (we have all the Premiere/After Effects project files)
