A short guide to making your organization's content look impressive and professional on Scaura.

Images

• Optimal resolution for iPad: 2048×1536px (or a multiple).
• Optimal resolution for Windows/Mac: Full HD (1920×1080px).
• To display correctly on all devices, use a minimum width of 2000px.
• The CMS supports JPEG and PNG. Use at least 72 DPI; keep size under ~5MB.

Tip: Background images fill the full screen without stretching, so some parts may be cropped to fit.

Videos

The app supports .mp4. Recommended settings:

• 25 frames per second
• Minimum bitrate: 2 Mbps
• HD: 720p (1280×720)
• Don't exceed ~150 MB per video.

Higher-than-recommended resolutions may not play on some devices (e.g. 4K at 60fps). All uploaded videos are auto-converted to mp4 (this takes time based on size). To convert before uploading, Adobe Media Encoder or QuickTime Player Pro give full control over fps, bitrate, and dimensions.

PDFs

• Keep under ~5 MB.
• Save in RGB color. Print brochures are often CMYK, which iOS doesn't support — colors will appear darker than intended.
• To reduce size, smallpdf.com (Compress PDF) is handy.

PowerPoint, Excel, and Word files

For a more visual experience, keep within: Word 10MB, Excel 5MB, PowerPoint 10MB. Larger files can't be previewed inside Scaura but can be opened externally.
