Title: GoodDAO Treasury Committee - Founding Member
Location: Remote
Role Type: Part-time (expected ~5 hours/week on average on a 3-month renewable term)
GoodDollar is a nonprofit protocol behind the world’s largest onchain universal basic income (UBI) system, building an open G$ economy designed to expand economic access, participation, and funding for public goods. More than 900,000 people across 180+ countries have claimed G$.
GoodDAO is GoodDollar’s community governance and capital allocation network, aligning resources around a shared mission to grow the G$ economy and advance economic inclusion. It operates through community-approved strategies and expert committees responsible for executing explicit mandates.
Good Labs is the nonprofit foundation supporting the development and growth of the GoodDollar ecosystem.
The Treasury Committee is GoodDAO's budgeting and financial management team. Established under GIP-28, it stewards the GoodDAO treasury on behalf of the community: setting and executing budgets, managing and diversifying DAO-held assets, driving strategic funding initiatives, and reporting quarterly to the community. The committee will hold delegated authority over allocations and transactions and operate under a public mandate.
To build out this new team, we are recruiting two founding members to work with one additional member from GoodLabs. This is a founding appointment: the people in these seats will have the opportunity to define how treasury stewardship works at GoodDollar.
The initial appointment will be for a 3-month term. As a Founding Member you will be accountable for establishing the credibility of the Treasury Committee. You will help build the committee's core operating framework — a treasury mandate, asset management framework, budgeting cycle, reporting standard, and decentralization roadmap — and then run them. The work sits at the intersection of DeFi-native asset management and public-interest financial stewardship.
The objective is GoodDAO’s sustainability and operational runway — as a Treasury Committee Member you are a steward, not a trader. The committee's job is to set policy, define risk limits, select and supervise strategies and counterparties, and operate in a highly transparent and accountable way.
The initial 3-month term will be centered around two deliverables:
