Graphed needs a never-expiring Meta system user token so we can run ads without Facebook API rate limits. Paste it on Graphed home after you generate it. Do not send tokens in Slack or email.

Watch the walkthrough: How to Set Up Facebook Developer Tokens
Open business.facebook.com → People → Invite people. Details: Invite Graphed to Meta Business Manager.
Open Business Settings → Apps.
Click Add (top right) and create a new app.

On Use cases, select only these two — nothing else:

Select only the two ads use cases
Connect the Business portfolio that owns the ad account. On Requirements, click Next — you do not need to finish App Review.
Confirm the overview and click Create app.

Review the overview and create the app
Meta will not let you publish until the app has a privacy policy URL. You do not need App Review for this.
In the app dashboard, open App settings → Basic.
Paste your public Privacy policy URL and click Save changes. That is the only field you need to fill.

Paste the privacy policy URL in App settings
Open Publish in the left nav. The privacy-policy checklist item should be gone. Click Publish (bottom right).

Publish the app
Go back to Business Settings → System users.
Click Add. Name it something like Graphed.
Set the role to Employee, not Admin. Less permission is better.

Create a system user with the Employee role
Open the new system user. It should show no assigned assets yet.
