so, i joined a hack organizing team for an international hackathon in PR team. my work was to find people who are suitable for mentor and judge role but i wanted to explored other sides as well so i tried a bit

so first as anyone else do for finding people for speaker and mentor role i started message my linkedin connections and since it's a online international i tried to approach my top connections (thanks to my lead organizer who motivated me to do so )

so one of my top connection was Jia C who is very famous for winning hacks now running her own starup jam

at that time jia has working on another idea named Nosu.io which was a competitor of devfolio ( renamed to sprint.dev later) . so i thought why not approach jia for judge role due to her hack exp .

but there was an issue since she was famous it a bit tough to reach out to her but i know that she also had a co-founder named aidan but since at that time i have many people to reach out and limited linkedin credits i approached him on discord startup was new so getting a reply felt easy.

even if that approach i played a bit safe, i dmed a appreciation on their new feature got the reply after that i pitched him my idea and after few messages and calls we didn't get her as judge role but got nosu.io as our sponsor.
