2. The information we collect
We collect information in three ways. You give us some of it, some is collected automatically when you use the web app, and some comes from other companies.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and login details.
- Your preferences: how many people you cook for, the food you like and dislike, your supermarket, and similar choices you make when setting up or using Mealia.
- Voice recordings: if you choose to record a voice note, we collect the recording and its transcript (see section 3).
- Payment details: when you subscribe, our payment provider Stripe collects your card details. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us your card type, the last four digits, the expiry date and your billing country.
- Messages to us: anything you tell us when you email us or contact support.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection: your IP address, browser, device type, language settings, and your rough location (country or region) worked out from your IP address.

- How you found us: the website, link or ad that brought you to Mealia.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 8.
