I don't know how much credit to attribute to the writer versus translator for the beautiful prose, but it was very moving
one of the few times that a book ends with no answers and I don't actually feel frustrated about it, it feels right

if I had the superpower to make every single person currently in the world read a specific book, I would choose this one.
this is the best book I have read this year, by far, and possibly ever? definitely the best non-fiction
