the afterlife is a hodgepodge of locations from across the solar system that have been repurposed to fit the needs of all the souls they house. it’s a combination of locales from all the different planets, with some areas offering specific services (that aren’t just living amenities). unlike a lot of versions of the afterlife, there is no different treatment for anyone regardless of how you acted when still alive, with no separate heaven or hell for people. everyone is left to roam the space, just the same.

people in the afterlife have their appearance match their mental image they have of themselves, for better or for worse. as people change overtime, their appearances will change in ways not seen during their life, or even previously possible with their old bodies.
