The short version: theminitv app collects nothing about you. No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no analytics, no ads, and no servers. Your videos go straight from your phone to your own mini tv over your local WiFi — they never touch the internet or any cloud. There is no account system and no server that holds your media.

What we collect

Nothing. theminitv app has no accounts, no login, and no sign-up. We do not collect names, emails, location, usage data, or any other personal information. We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any third-party SDKs that send data off your device.

Permissions the app asks for, and why

• Photo library — so you can pick a video to send to your mini tv. Videos are read on your phone only. The app never uploads them anywhere except to your own mini tv device.
• Camera — used only once, to scan the pairing QR code shown on your mini tv's screen. Nothing is recorded, photographed, or saved.
• Local network — used only to find and reach your mini tv at its address on your local WiFi so the app can send your clip to it.

How your video is handled

When you pick a video, the app converts it into a format the physical mini tv can play. This conversion happens entirely on your phone — the clip is never sent to us or to any outside service to be processed.

To send the clip, your phone connects to the mini tv's own WiFi hotspot and transfers the file directly to the device over the local network. Nothing is sent to any server, cloud, or website. There is no account system and no server that holds your media.

What's stored on your phone

To save you re-pairing every time, the app stores a small amount of settings locally on your phone: the WiFi name and passphrase of the mini tv you paired with. The passphrase is kept in the iOS Keychain (Apple's secure storage) and the network name in the app's own local settings. Neither ever leaves your device. You can clear it any time by deleting the app.

Firmware update checks

The Mini TV occasionally gets firmware updates. So that we can tell whether those updates are actually reaching devices, the app sends us a small, anonymous record when it pairs with a TV and when an update is attempted: a random identifier generated on your phone at install, the model of TV, the firmware and app version numbers, and whether the update succeeded. That is the entire contents. It is not linked to any account, because there are no accounts; it contains nothing you typed, no location, no network name, and nothing that identifies you or your phone to anyone else. It is never sold, shared or used for advertising. Your videos and photos are not part of this and never leave your phone except to travel to your own Mini TV.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app works in a way that affects this policy, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Since the app has no way to contact you, please check back here for the current version.
