Long (~250 words)

Dusti Arab is running for Clark County Council to protect the future of working families.

With 15 years of marketing experience working with progressive, mission-driven small businesses, Arab understands how to reach people and move them to act. She founded Hearth & Hollow in 2025 after the inauguration when it became clear that families were going to go hungry. She vends at the Vancouver Farmers Market specifically to accept SNAP benefits and make food-growing resources accessible to low-income families. Arab is also the founder of the reinvention co, a marketing consultancy supporting nonfiction authors and mission-driven small businesses.

A first-time candidate, Arab identifies as queer, does not drive, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership starting fall 2026. Arab grew up in Forest Grove in a single-parent household and spent much of her adult life navigating the systems she now seeks to reform, including housing instability and reliance on SNAP, WIC, and Pell Grants to get through college as a young single parent.

Arab's platform centers holding the urban growth boundary, building housing people can afford through community land trusts and missing-middle development, behavioral health investment as a public safety strategy, and banning data centers and detention facilities in Clark County.

Arab has been endorsed by the Sierra Club, OneAmerica, Run for Something, the Alliance for Gun Responsibility, the National Women's Political Caucus, Love and Justice Alliance, and has been identified as a Green Party preferred candidate. Learn more at dustiforclarkcounty.com.
