日本語版: キロレップ プライバシーポリシー
Effective date: September 21, 2026 (last revised October 19, 2026 — added camera and microphone use for filming a Vlog to sections 2 and 13)
KiloRep (the "App") is an app for logging strength training and cardio on iPhone, Apple Watch and Android. Where the Android version differs from the iPhone version, see section 13. YUICODE, LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY (合同会社Yuicode), the developer of the App (the "Developer"), respects your privacy and handles personal information as described below.
1. Basic policy
- Your records (workouts, notes, body weight, etc.) are stored only on your device and in your own iCloud account. They are never sent to servers operated by the Developer, and the Developer cannot access them.
- The Developer never sells your personal information or provides it to third parties for advertising.
2. Data we handle and why
- Workout records (exercises, weight, reps, time, notes, condition, body weight)
- Purpose: displaying your log, statistics, personal records, and AI coach feedback and consultation
- Where it goes: your device and your iCloud (private database). The Developer cannot access it.
- Health (HealthKit) data / Read: heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, active energy, steps, walking + running distance, cycling distance, body weight, sleep, workouts, workout routes / Write: workouts, routes, active energy, distance, body weight
- Purpose: showing heart rate, calories and distance during a workout; saving your workouts to Health; showing condition such as body weight and sleep; AI coach feedback
- Where it goes: Health on your device. Data read from Health is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sold or shared with third parties. Only if you set up an external AI coach (see section 4) is a summary needed for that feedback sent to the provider you chose.
- Location
- Purpose: recording the route and distance of outdoor running, cycling and walking, and showing it on a map
- Where it goes: collected only during outdoor cardio. Routes are saved to the workout in Health and are not sent to the Developer.
- Camera and microphone (only if you film a Vlog)
- Purpose: when you turn on "Film a Vlog" in Settings, filming your training from the logging screen and making a Vlog with your sets on it
- Where it goes: videos are stored only on your device (never sent to iCloud, Apple Watch, the AI coach or Notion) and are deleted automatically 7 days after you export, or after 14 days if you don't. A finished Vlog is saved to Photos or shared only when you choose to. A small copy of each exported Vlog is kept on your device for looking back, until you delete that workout or remove it in Settings. If you choose Blur Faces, faces are detected on your device only; face positions are stored with the clips on your device and deleted with them. Nothing is sent to the Developer.
- Settings (rest timer length, theme, coach name, etc.)
- Purpose: app preferences
- Where it goes: your device
3. iCloud sync
The App stores your records in your own iCloud account (the CloudKit private database) so they can be restored after you change phones or reinstall the App. If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud sync off in Settings, records stay on the device only. Data in iCloud is handled under Apple's privacy policy, and the Developer cannot access it.
4. AI coach
The AI coach can run in three ways, and what leaves the device differs for each.
- On-device AI (Apple Intelligence): the default on iPhones that support Apple Intelligence. Your records never leave the device.
- Cloud AI coach: used automatically on iPhones without Apple Intelligence, and on supported iPhones only if you choose it in Settings. Before the first use, the App shows what will be sent and asks for your consent.
- What is sent: your questions and the records needed to answer them (recent workouts, personal records, your coaching note, notes). Only if you allow it in Settings, a summary derived from Health (heart rate, body weight, sleep and similar) is included as well. You can turn that off at any time.
- Where it goes: through a relay server operated by the Developer (hosted on Cloudflare) to the AI providers — Google's Gemini API and Anthropic's Claude API — and used only to generate the answer. Both are paid APIs; what you send is not used to train their models. Their handling is governed by their privacy policies (Google, Anthropic).
- What the relay server keeps: it does not store your questions or records. It keeps only an identifier used to count monthly usage (the transaction ID of your Apple in-app purchase, or the ID showing the App was downloaded from the App Store) and the count. It never handles your name, email address or device identifiers.
- How access is verified: eligibility for the free allowance and for KiloRep Plus is confirmed by verifying the Apple-signed purchase record on the relay server. No account is required.
- Your own API key (advanced): if you choose to enter an API key for Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Gemini (Google), the same content is sent directly to the provider you selected, without the relay server, and is handled under that provider's privacy policy. API keys are stored only in the device Keychain and are sent to nothing but that provider's API.
Data read from Health is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold or provided to third parties.
