At Shift Technologies, I contributed to a fleet management SaaS platform serving high-stakes global organizations like the UNDP and Air Canada. My core mission was to bridge the gap between heavy backend data and user intuition by creating clear, scalable, and highly usable digital workflows.

Case Study: Fleet Management Platform - Wingel Portfolio
Fleet managers and admins needed to monitor who accessed sensitive data, and there were over 10 data points to track. The existing view was overwhelming and made security audits difficult.
I focused onย progressive disclosureย by showing the most critical information first, then letting users drill down. I designed a filterable table where admins could sort by user, timestamp, action type, or location. I also used visual hierarchy to highlight security alerts without creating noise.
A clean, intuitive interface that turned complex audit data into something admins could actually use. I worked closely with developers to navigate complex backend data, and we launched a feature that made security reviews faster and more transparent for admins.

The platform had visual inconsistencies across different sections, which made development slower and the product feel disjointed.
I architected a scalable design system from scratch, including a dark mode theme. I created reusable components with clear specifications so developers could implement them consistently.
We eliminated visual inconsistencies across the platform, reduced future design debt, and gave developers a single source of truth. It made handoff faster and saved engineering hours.

The existing navigation structure became difficult to use as more modules were added to the platform.
