PRIVACY POLICY & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER FOR SPAN AND STAGES APPS.
Welcome! We’re happy to have you here. We’ve done our best to write this policy in a way that is as easy to understand as possible, avoiding difficult legalese or technical terms, or at least explaining them when we can.
First and foremost, everything we do is with the intent of improving systematic data archiving, lifestyle, biomarker and developmental tracking, and the holistic understanding of personal health, longevity, family well-being and growth.
This Privacy Policy covers two mobile applications: Span (personal health, longevity and biomarker tracking for adults) and Stages (child development tracking, used by a parent or legal guardian). They are referred to together in this document as the "Apps" or "Services", and individually by name where a rule applies to only one of them.
Before using the Apps, please review this Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer carefully. By using the Apps, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
No Medical Advice Provided
The Apps and any content, text, data, graphics, or AI-driven insights generated within Span or Stages are for informational, educational, and systematic data archiving purposes only. The insights provided by our AI-driven navigation engines are designed to help you organize and visualize your own or your child’s personal metrics, but they do not constitute medical diagnosis, professional medical advice, clinical interpretation, developmental screening, or a structured treatment plan.
Not a Medical Device
The Apps are NOT medical devices. They have not been certified, cleared, or approved by any global or local medical authority (including the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health, or the European Medicines Agency). The Apps cannot and should not be used to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any medical condition, chronic illness, acute health emergency, developmental delay, or developmental disorder.
Stages supports developmental monitoring — the ordinary parental activity of observing a child over time. It is not a developmental screening instrument, it is not a validated tool, and it does not compare a child against population norms or against other children.
Assumption of Risk & No Liability
You acknowledge and agree that your use of the Apps and your reliance on any insights generated within them are entirely at your own risk. Under no circumstances shall the developer, owner, operators, or affiliates of the Apps be held liable for any decisions made, actions taken, or omissions made by you or any third party — including decisions concerning a child in your care — based on the information and data visualizations provided by the Apps.
Always Consult a Professional
The Apps are not a substitute for professional medical advice, pediatric consultation, clinical diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician, your child’s pediatrician, or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding health metrics, blood biomarkers, vital signs, sleep, nutrition, physical data, or a child’s development. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read, tracked, logged, or interpreted within the Apps.
If you observe that a child has lost a skill they previously used, or if anything about a child’s development concerns you, discuss it promptly with a qualified professional. The Apps do not evaluate such observations and cannot tell you whether they are significant.
EMERGENCY NOTICE: The Apps do not monitor for emergencies and cannot detect critical health or safety events. If you think you or a family member may be experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency services (e.g., 911, 999, or 112) or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
When you entrust us with sensitive personal, health, and child developmental information, we believe it is our most important responsibility to keep it as safe, secure, and private as we can, while still delivering effective tracking and AI features. Our core principle is simple: your data, and your child’s data, belong strictly to you. We do not sell, rent, license, or lease your health, developmental, or personal information to third parties or data brokers, and we never use it for advertising.
We process data exclusively for two reasons:
