At Backed, user safety is our highest priority. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data, specifically focusing on the high standards required for dating and matchmaking services. We comply with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards and Age-Restricted Content policies.

2. Data We Collect

To provide our service, we collect the following information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and date of birth. We use the Play Age Signals API and in-app verification to ensure all users are 18+.
• Profile Data: Photos, interests, and bio information you choose to share.
• Location Data: We collect approximate location data to show you relevant matches nearby.
• Usage Data: Information on how you interact with other users (likes, blocks, and reports).

3. User-Generated Content & Moderation

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for illegal or harmful content.

• Child Safety: We strictly prohibit Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any such content will be removed immediately, the user will be permanently banned, and we will report the incident to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
• Reporting & Blocking: Users have access to prominent "Block" and "Report" tools on every profile. Our moderation team reviews all safety reports within 24 hours.

4. Data Security & Sharing

• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (TLS/SSL).
• Third Parties: We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with service providers (like our database provider, Supabase) necessary to run the app.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time.

• In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data via the "Settings" menu in the app.
