AI News Radar ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:
- Authentication Data: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address (with Apple, this may be a private relay address you choose) and basic profile information. You can also use the app without an account; in that case an anonymous session is created so that notifications work.
- User Activity Data: Saved articles (bookmarks) associated with your account.
- Usage Data: How you use the app, for example which articles and summaries you open, searches, filters, shares and bookmarks. This is collected through Firebase Analytics together with an app instance identifier.
- Notification Data: If you use notifications, your device's push notification token, time zone, chosen notification categories and whether notifications are enabled on your device. We also record which notifications were opened and which articles were read from them, to understand whether the briefings are useful.
We do not collect sensitive personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to:
- Authenticate and manage user accounts
- Store and retrieve saved articles
- Send the morning briefing and news alerts at your local time
- Improve the functionality and user experience of the application
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
