Nuur Reflections is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and why.
WHAT WE NEVER COLLECT
Everything you write in Nuur Reflections stays on your device.
Your reflections, your answers, and anything you type are stored only in the app's own storage on your phone. They are never uploaded, never transmitted, never backed up to us, and never readable by anyone else, including us. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server holding your writing.
If you delete the app, that content is gone. We have no copy.
WHAT WE DO COLLECT
Anonymous usage statistics, so we can tell which parts of the app are working and which are not.
What is recorded: which screens are opened, which actions are taken (a card opened, a session completed, the unlock screen viewed), along with your app version, operating system version and device model.
What is never recorded: the text of anything you write, and any question you save.
This data is processed by PostHog, an analytics provider, on servers in the European Union. It is not sold, not shared with advertisers, not shared with data brokers, and not combined with data from any other company. We do not use it to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.
HOW YOU ARE IDENTIFIED
You are not, in any way that identifies you as a person.
When the app first launches, it generates a random identifier and stores it on your device. It is not your name, email, phone number, Apple ID, Google account, advertising identifier, or device serial number. Its only purpose is to distinguish one anonymous installation from another, so we can tell whether people come back.
Deleting and reinstalling the app creates a new identifier with no link to the previous one.
TURNING ANALYTICS OFF
Because no analytics data is linked to you, there is nothing personal to delete. If you would prefer not to be included at all, deleting the app stops all collection immediately.
VERSE CONTENT
The app requests Quran verse text and translations from the public Quran.com API so the Arabic displays correctly. These requests contain only the verse reference. They do not contain any identifier and nothing about you is sent with them.
