This guide will walk you through downloading Keyrails, installing it on your Mac, giving it the necessary permissions, and setting up your preferred shortcut.

1. Download Keyrails

Open the Keyrails download page and click Download.

Then:

1. Click the Apple () Download button.
2. Wait for the ZIP file to download.
3. Open the ZIP file.
4. Double-click the Keyrails installer DMG.

2. Install Keyrails

Once the installer opens, drag the Keyrails app into your Applications folder.

Then:

1. Open your Applications folder.
2. Find Keyrails.
3. Double-click it to launch the app.
4. Click Open if macOS asks you to confirm.

Keyrails will now walk you through the permissions it needs to work correctly.

3. Enable Screen Recording Permission

The first permission Keyrails needs is Screen Recording.
