The Best Farmhouse Repurposed Chair DIYS and Ideas are going to enlighten you on how versatile a Thrift Chair can be! From Shelf to Bench and more!

Chairs are a part of our every daily lives! We use them all the time to rest… to work… to chat with our friends and family and so much more! However… we usually think of them as a place to sit! But today we are going to look at them a little bit differently. You know…see their full potential! You won’t believe how many imaginative ways you can transform a chair into a planter… a bench… even a towel rack. Have you ever thought of using your chairs as shelves or to hold a vignette on the wall…well you will now! Have you tossed away some chairs that were broken and you thought you couldn’t use any more? Well you might want to rethink that after you see some of the projects that await you. So DON’T throw out those chairs…even if they are broken…I think you will be giving them a new purpose in life really soon! Now here is a suggestion to you all… If you find a chair that is broken or for a good price and it has SPINDLES… snatch it up an cut all the spindles out… use them for handles…ornaments… embellishments and more! They are PRICELESS!!! Harvest the legs and if they are broken and the back of the chair is good… save that for a million and one uses. Even a chair that has seen a million better days has something to give… just look into its soul and you will find it. ENJOY!

You care not going to believe this one… Christy found this chair crushed and thrown in the garbage (I am serious!!!!). This lady has an eye… you know that any one of us would have not even given it a second look…well she did and she created this amazing rack that would look incredible wherever it hangs! She is going to show you exactly what she did so if a half a chair presents itself to you… you too will know what to do!

This has to be one of my favorite projects of all times! If you have broken chairs with spindles that are cracked… chipped or snapped… NO problem… there is still new life for them! If you have chairs with not so pretty legs… they can instantly become ornaments! What an outlet for original creativity! These ornaments are a Farmhouse Lovers Delight!!! I am surprised Joanna Gaines doesn’t have a line of them! So don’t discard or dismiss those chairs that are looking shabby… CREATE!!!

Here is yet another brilliant way to use a chair back… turn it into a chalkboard! Come and see how easy it is to do! If the bottom half of the chair is in great shape… you might want to turn that into a shelf or a step stool!

I LOVE this idea and I love the funky Farmhouse style too! Come and see how a piece of scaffolding and an old chair became this cool bench that can be used in an Entryway and even a Garden Bench which you will see when you visit! What a brilliant idea! One of the lessons I have learned while collecting these items for you is that a chair does not have to be in good shape to have great uses. All the little bits and pieces sure come together to form something outstanding!

Photo Display Chair – Mamie James

Over at Mamie James you see an old chair that got a quick and easy makeover. Twine was simply strung around the back of the chair and it formed a clothes line. They treasured photos were attached with simple little clothespins. Then to put it over the Farmhouse Cottage Style Top… a stack of vintage dishes were added to the display. Does this strike an idea???

Chair Leg Shelf – Confessions Of A Serial DIYER

Chair Leg ShelfAs always Christy over at Confessions Of A Serial DIYER brings such an original and oh so useful new Chair Upcycle to the table! I LOVE how she uses the entire chair (she has another upcycle for the top piece) Many times the bottom of a chair is harvested for the legs and spindles so seeing the entire bottom used for something so Farmhouse awesome as this shelf is refreshing. Come and see how simple it is to put together. So when you spot a chair… check it up and down and see the full potential of the piece.
