This will allow us to know your status (still looking for a supervisor, or did find one already)

1. Thesis Topic

Perfect! You’ve been matched with one of our PhD students for your thesis. Reach out to them to talk about potential topics and decide on the one that fits best.

2. Thesis Registration

Once agreed on a topic, you can register your thesis at the examination office. To do this, you need to complete the form provided by the examination office with all relevant details about your thesis. Prof. Hüllermeier will officially be your supervisor, while one of our PhD students will act as co-supervisor. Make sure to send the filled-out, editable PDF to your co-supervisor for review. Once the form is signed by Prof. Hüllermeier, you can submit it to the examination office to officially register your thesis. Keep in mind the registration deadlines (link) of the examination office. More information can be found here.

3. Supervision

To successfully complete your thesis, you will need to balance your time between reviewing relevant literature, working on your own tasks, developing and implementing solutions, and writing the thesis. Your co-supervisor will be your main point of contact throughout this process. Please ensure that you meet/communicate with your him or her regularly to keep them informed about your progress and any challenges that arise. As a general guideline, you should get in touch with your co-supervisor at least once every two weeks.
