By using Atomic’s powerful automation tools that is available, you can easily integrate SMS services on the Atomic platform to your 3CX.

This is not a native integration and you will need to know to some degree how to set things up in 3CX.

The Atom support team is unable to support queries on how to troubleshoot your 3CX. We are however able to share insights like what is sent to your 3CX and also what is received from your 3CX.

Sending SMS

This assumes that you have already created an SMS Service that you would like to use with a 3CX PBX. If you need information on setting up an SMS Service, please refer to this document - Create a New SMS Service

1. Navigate to your 3CX Management Console and select Voice & Chat.

   

2. Navigate to the Trunk that has the 3CX PBX connected to Atomic and click on the SMS label.

3. Under Provider URL, enter your Atomic SMS API URL (https://atomic-sms.readme.io/reference/getting-started-with-your-api). This should look something like this - https://your_custom_domain/api/sms/send

4. For the API Key field, enter the api key that you generated from the Atomic portal (https://atomic-sms.readme.io/reference/getting-started-with-your-api)

5. For the Webhook field, you will want to copy that value for now as you will need this to setup receiving sms.

Receiving SMS

To divert an incoming SMS to a 3CX PBX, you will need to use our automation tool for SMS Service.

1. On the Atomic portal, navigate to the SMS Service you are using and click on Manage.

2. Click on the tab called Action and click on Create Action.

   

3. Give the Action a descriptive name like 3CX Incoming SMS and for the Type select Webhook 3cx.

4. Paste the webhook URL you copied in an earlier step (from 3CX) and click on Create.

5. Now select the tab called Trigger and click on Create Trigger to create a new trigger.
