Felix IV, King of the Imperial Heartlands, has no difficulty using public power for private violence. When a commoner pleads before him, Felix summons Lionfang, kills the man, and orders the body sent to the Doctor. It is a deliberate killing, not an accident or a moment of lost control. The court makes that violence administratively possible.
In the early palace sequence, Felix directs preparation for the Festival of Light even as reports emerge about dangerous creatures elsewhere in the Heartlands. He receives the Hierophant's report about the Great Forest of Lu Val and continues to oversee the preparations surrounding Operation Zero. His rule is built on the difference between the order he advertises and the work carried out behind closed doors.
Felix secretly appointed or elevated the three current Light Guild Elders: Saint Lucien, Saint Kalder, and Saint Menos. Their public standing makes the Guild appear institutionally independent while giving the Crown influence over doctrine and sanctioned authority.
Hikari Starbright serves beneath those Elders and disputes their decisions, but cannot simply overrule them. Felix benefits from a hierarchy in which political direction need not look like an order from the throne.
This continues the dynasty's original exploitation of Seriyo Starbright's ideals. The early Felix rulers helped found the Light Order with Seriyo, while using its legitimacy to strengthen an already corrupt regime. Lionfang is his sword and has magical recall, allowing him to summon or retrieve it. The full extent of Felix's broader spellcraft and combat strength remains unresolved.
The Red Warden was created as a weapon of the Felix bloodline long before Felix IV. It belongs to the dynasty's inherited machinery of violence, not to a new invention of the present king. The Doctor receives bodies from the palace; the wider Imperial court protects the king's exercise of power.
His final measurements and full regalia are still being consolidated. Lion imagery and Felix bloodline authority are essential design anchors.
Continuity locks: Do not soften the palace murder, change Lionfang's recall mechanism, place the Red Warden's creation within Felix IV's reign, or portray the three Elders as independently chosen outside Felix's intervention.
