This is where the thinking lives — not the finished work. Anyone can generate an image; what makes you a designer is the sequence of judgments between the first prompt and the finished project. Process documentation is graded as heavily as finished artifacts in this course.

The five rules

1. Write it the week it happens. This is a semester long assignment and should be updated weekly.
2. Log prompts verbatim. Don't paraphrase, don't clean them up, don't fix the typos.
3. Document what failed. Dead ends are as insightful as successful results.
4. Write in your own voice. Using AI to write your reflections defeats the point.
5. Share your own journal with me once, in Week 1. After that I can see everything as it develops.

This page stays mine and stays current. Briefs get added and revised while the semester runs, so come back often rather than working from a copy you made in September.
