The Discover phase answered one central question: What conditions would have to be met for sophisticated, skeptical operators in institutional finance to trust and adopt an AI-augmented workflow tool?
The research combined four streams: market studies, secondary research, competitive analysis, and primary user interviews with four professionals across three perspectives on the workflow. Affinity synthesis across all four interview transcripts produced four convergent findings that shaped every downstream design decision.
FX repatriation has no single owner. It passes from middle office preparing the data, to the trader executing against rate forecasts, to the systems team maintaining the connections that make any of it work. I interviewed four people across those handoffs to surface one thing: what conditions would have to be met for sophisticated, skeptical operators to trust and adopt an AI-augmented workflow tool?
Four findings shaped every decision that followed.
