  • Steps one or more times in any direction with the same foot while keeping the other foot (pivot foot) in contact with the floor.
• Once a pivot foot is established:
  • Lifting it requires the player to pass or shoot before returning it to the floor.
  • Failing to do so results in a traveling violation.
