Our two primary responsibilities as officials are simple but vital:
We are the guardians of both the players and the game itself. Enforcing the rules as they are written ensures safety, while impartiality ensures fairness.
No one enjoys seeing a player injured or a contest decided by unfairness. Our job is to apply the rules consistently and confidently to protect both players and integrity.
Always have Integrity and Character in Every Decision.
The players are there to compete, and we are there to facilitate the game, not control it.
While some contests might hinge on a call late in the game, our focus should always be on letting the players’ performance determine the outcome. When we remain neutral, enforce the rules evenly, and maintain composure, the game naturally rewards the team that plays the best.
Officials don’t create fouls or violations — players and coaches do through their decisions.
Our role is to interpret and apply the rules when actions fall outside the legal boundaries of play.
When you make a call, do so with confidence and fairness. Never call something for personal satisfaction or crowd approval. Your integrity depends on impartial enforcement of the rules.
