Bài viết nhắm đến Hội Thánh Việt Nam: Ân tứ (恩賜) & 7 Thể Cách Ân Tứ (Rô-ma 12:6–8)

Thanks for sharing this. Lianne and I watched it together. It gave us a clearer picture of the hardships of war in general, and of the plight of Indochina as a whole.

My family was at the Singapore embassy in PP when the bombs fell. I was five years old when I saw Cambodian soldiers marching up and down the boulevards carrying rifles carved from wood, not real weapons. The son of the Prince used to come by in a motorcade to pick up my elder sister, Joyce, for dates, but that budding romance was cut short by the war. We were all evacuated to Australia to help start the embassy in Canberra. This was post-independence, when the foreign minister Rajaratnam (born in Jaffna, Ceylon, but raised in Seremban) was just beginning to call diplomats into the foreign service.

After we started the church in 1992, I took a trip back to Cambodia. I met a Cambodian staff sergeant in the tourism office who invited me to his house about 60 km south of the capital. I remember nearly drowning in the Mekong, and a war veteran applying a special oil that revived me almost immediately. I also remember seeing the Phnom Penh national library with its empty shelves, and meeting the international aid community with their satellite phones in those days.
